REST DAY and QOD
“I’ll never think that there’s something I can’t do, whether it’s beating my opponent one-on-one or practicing another hour because something about my game is just not right.” -Earvin “Magic” Johnson
“This can-do, do-whatever-it-takes attitude is the attitude of champions. If we approach our sports and fitness with a positive outlook we will be successful. A positive attitude doesn’t just count when the chips are down or when we are going for a championship or a trophy. That attitude should be with us every day so that we can take on opponents or workouts or practices with the same level of focus and intensity. A can-do attitude means a willingness to put ourselves on the line and give a maximum effort at all times. It means not giving in to thinking that we can’t make changes either in our fitness level or in how we play. It means working hard and earning our successes. When we don’t try our best, regardless of the circumstances, we are taking away an oportunity to learn.
“Confidence in ourselves is key, not only in executing a well-tuned performance but also in helping us to know that we can improve. We need to believe in what we can do already and have faith in our potential and in our ability to grow and learn. A positive attitude can carry us through the learning experiences and help us to be our best.”
