Community: Join Us This Sunday to Support Team G

As we hope you know, CrossFit West is hosting a fundraiser for precious little Gabriella. This dear 4 year old is battling cancer, and we have the opportunity to come together to support her and her family.

We talk a lot about community around here-the fun we have together in class, the WODs we endure together, our parties and summer outdoor adventure activities.  There are many, many places around here to go and workout, but the community of CFWest is one of the things that makes this place special, not just another gym.

Sometimes we can be hesitant to jump right in and be an active part of community, beyond the regular class time, because it is out of our comfort zone.  Please don’t hesitate to join us this Sunday, July 1st to support the Cosner family. We hope that each and everyone of you join us, whether you’ve been around since day 1 or you just started yesterday. This is a fun way to get to know the Cosner’s and others in the community.  This is a great way to jump right in and support others, to hold them up when they most need it.

There are two big events this Sunday-

The obstacle course will be set up inside the 10,000 square foot CF West gym. There will be prizes for the fastest male and female times as well as a general raffle with lots of prizes and services. The course is open to anyone, suitable for older children, regardless of fitness level and no CrossFit or weightlifting experience is needed. Each run through the O-course is a $5 donation.

Stanford’s mobile blood drive van will also be onsite for blood donations.  This is something that the Cosners have set-up as a way for all of us to give back to Stanford and support many more children who are in need.   Please click here to sign up for the blood donations.
