Dear Parents

Dom--a little blurry but great technique.

Dom–a little blurry but great extension.

Dear CrossFit West Santa Cruz parents,

Due to safety concerns, liability issues, member complaints, equipment problems, and just plain common sense, we can no longer allow children to be anywhere on the training floor during class. Absolutely no exceptions. Children need to be inside the kids area, or if they are old enough, sitting on the stools at the front desk. We know that children are easily bored and that watching a bunch of adults lift weights and run around is probably not most kids idea of a great time, but please do no let your children climb on the rowers or bikes, swing from the rings, or be out of the kids area in general during class time. We are sorry, but we cannot make exceptions for age, size, rambunctiousness, how long you and your children have been CFWSC members, class size or time. A large part of the sense of community at CrossFit West is family and we want children to feel welcome at the gym, but for the reasons above, we cannot allow mat access for children. To help with keeping children occupied during class times, please let us know if there is anything we can do to make the kids area more enjoyable. On Saturday mornings, a time with large classes and numerous children, CrossFit Kids classes are offered. For more information, please speak with Johnny V (345-3366). If there are any questions, please direct them to Cliff or Sam (preferably Cliff :-)).

Thank you for your understanding.
