The CF West Santa Cruz community welcomes the arrival of Dior Brown. Congratulations to Golden and Rachel on the birth of their baby girl! The tale of the tape: Dior weighed in at 7 pounds 8 ounces and measured 18.25 inches. Both mother and daughter are healthy and doing well. Golden is all smiles.
I have been friends with Golden since he was a bratty 19 year old kid trying to get into the Catalyst (I was 26 or 27 at the time). He is one of the oldest CF West members, having joined in the early days of Golds. I still can picture his first CrossFit WOD–230 pounds, dressed in a Misfits shirt and Ben Davis pants, reverse curling and pressing his way to a stupidly fast time on Grace. He was a great guy back then, and he hasn’t changed much.
As they say, you’ve come a long way buddy, and I, and all of us, couldn’t be happier for you right now.
