That’s right! Not only do we want you to just plain be better, we don’t want to scale with any more two or three for one’s for double unders. So that’s why we’re presenting the CrossFit West Double Under Challenge.
Here’s how it works: Contestants will do an AMRAP 1 min of double unders. In one month we will test the AMRAP again. Who ever makes the most progress wins! It’s as simple as that! Winner will get a free CrossFit West Hoodie (which are on order as we speak) and a free elements package to give to a friend or family member.
By next Friday, everyone who wants to be in the challenge (which should be everyone- after all it doesn’t cost anything, and the only commitment is a little bit of practice) needs to get their 1 min AMRAP done by a trainer. You can do it anytime during the warm up or strength/skill portion of class.
After that, it’s up to you to practice your double unders. Open gym on Sundays (open from 11-2PM) is a great time for that. This past Sunday was one of the best open gym days ever. Lot’s of people came in to practice, attack their weaknesses, do longer metcons, etc. It was super fun and we all hope to see lots more faces this Sunday.
