Ashley pulls 270#!

You’d never believe it to see her.  I have seen her lift a hundred times, and I still can’t believe it. Craning her neck to get over 5 feet, her nickname isn’t “Fly Weight” by chance.  But Ashley is strong, seriously strong.  Her lifts are becoming part of CF West legend.  She had hit 12 bodyweight overhead squats, lofted well over bodyweight overhead, and deadlifted double bodyweight for 6 reps, when she unbelievably got rhabdo (you will have to ask her how, but rumor has it that it involved 100 GHD situps and tequila). 

A month later she is back, lighter and improbably stronger than before.  This 270# deadlift PR at a bodyweight of 115# made jaws drop and heads shake in wonderment.

Good to see you healthy and back in the box with a barbell in your hands, Ash.

Schedule changes–Monday and Wednesday evening classes are now at 5 and 6pm.  A new 6:30pm class has been added on Tuesday and Thursdays.  Both changes effective immediately.

This coming Friday, May 22nd, is our own Molly McVeigh’s birthday and CF West is holding a celebration workout at the 4pm class.  I hope to see everyone there.
