Happy Birthday Jason!

A huge Happy Birthday to CF West Santa Cruz coach Jason Highbarger.

I have known Jason for over a decade through martial arts in Santa Cruz and, of course, the original C3 classes with Coach Glassman. At the old CF HQ, I took his class regularly, and his training philosophies have been a significant influence on my own coaching and programming and that of CF West.

Thank you for being such an integral part of CFWSC, J-Dogg. From all of us, have a great birthday weekend and we wish you all the best in the coming year.

Workout:

7 Rounds

1 Deadlift + 3 Handstand Pushups

1 Deadlift + 5 Pullups (C2B)

1 Deadlift + 7 Squats

Deadlift weight–80% 1RM (go heavy)

Do each couplet on a 1 minute interval.

So, do 1 DL and 3 HSPU and then rest for the remainder of the minute.  On the minute, do 1 DL and 5 pullups and then rest for the remainder of the minute.  On the minute, do 1 DL and 7 squats and then rest for the remainder of the minute.  On the minute, do 1 DL and 3 HSPU and so on until 7 rounds have been completed (21 deadlifts).
