Two of my favorite quotations that might relate to Thanksgiving.
Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let us all be thankful.
Everyday there is something, much, I am thankful for. It might be a great day and the sun seems to be shining down on me and my footing is always sure and like water I just flow through the easiest path and it’s easy to be grateful for all I have and all I am. Other days it seems that bad luck and trouble dog my every step, that I open my mouth and I am dismayed at the words that come forth, that every permutation of wrong somehow comes true. Those days it is not so easy to see what I am grateful for, but it is always there, right in front of me, all around me, if I only have the eyes to see it.
A woman has got to love a bad man once or twice in her life to be thankful for a good one.
Because I am never quite sure which man I am.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. May you have a wonderful day and turn from a dinner table laden with food, drink, and joy, more thankful for the great and small in our lives than ever before.
