Great work today by all the classes at CF West Santa Cruz. I was really happy how quickly the rudiments of the snatch were picked up by all, even those to whom it was a new movement. If you feel less than confident with the movement, have patience and remember that no one is going to master an Olympic event in one day. As with the clean and jerk, the other Olympic weightlifting event, the progression of the movement is precisely ordered. Short cut the order and the core to extremity rule is violated, and, in all probability, the lift will be missed.
Happy Thanksgiving. Don’t worry about Paleo and don’t even dare think about the Zone all day.
CFWSC will be holding classes at 7AM and 12:30PM only. The schedule will be back to normal on Friday and I hope to see all who took a rest day on Thanksgiving in class. The UCSC CrossFit Club will not meet on Friday.
