How Badly Do You Want It?

American Miriam Nakamoto's legs prior to the final fight of the 2009 Muay Thai World Championships in Bangkok. She won.

It  is a simple formula. If you want it enough, you will walk through fire to get it. If it is just not that important to you, then you will probably just manufacture excuses. It is the same formula for losing weight and getting strong and fit as it is for winning Thai boxing championships (albeit a lot less painful). The same goes for good nutrition. It all come down to desire. Now I am not saying you should beat yourself up like Nakamoto’s legs in the pic above. She is a pretty extreme example, world champs usually are, but most of us can certainly take a lesson, and some inspiration, from her. If one picture is worth a thousand words, then that’s the power of will written over and over a thousand times. And we can all use a little more will put into action.
