June has been quietly coming and training at CF West for about 6 months now. She always says hello with a smile and a kind word (even to Kyle and his black as midnight heart).  She is the kind of person that it is just nice to talk to.  Due to her hectic work schedule (she is a nurse), she could barely make it in once a week at first, but lately she has been hitting CrossFit twice a week like clockwork.  And she has been killing it.

June didn’t start CrossFit because she was looking for the extra edge on the playing field, or in the ring, or in big surf, or when charging into a fire, but rather because she simply wanted to be in better shape, a bit more fit.  

I know at times that she was frustrated with her progress and herself.  We all are now and again.  But when she got frustrated, she would just shake her head, take a deep breath, and work the movement again.  There was no quitting with June.  And all that patience, perseverance, and hard work is really starting to pay off.  Her squat is below parallel, the Olympic bar goes overhead for reps, and her deadlift is edging over 100 pounds.

As with all of us, there is still plenty of work ahead, but June has turned a corner and I know she is feeling good.  Congratulations June.  Thanks for being a part of CF West.
