A big congratulations to Ali A who, after months of staying after every class to work on it, got his first Muscle-Ups! Not only can he do singles now, but he has even strung together a few doubles!! Like I’ve mentioned in many posts before, no matter what the skill; Kipping Pull-Ups without a band, Unassisted Bar-Dips, Muscle-Ups on Bar or Rings, whatever, if you want it bad enough, you will accomplish it. It just takes a little focused effort each day. Coach Glassman used to say, “There is no bad pull-up program.–If you want pull-ups, you will get pull-ups.–Whether it’s the “Russian Ladder System” or doing 10 every time you take a piss, you’ll get pull-ups if you want them bad enough.” Spend just 5 minutes at the end of each class working on the skill you are pursuing, (not 25 minutes on Friday), and before you know it, you’ll have accomplished your goal and I’ll be writing a post about you. 🙂
