Yeah, today was a pretty fun day. Most days at CF West are, but today just rocked. Thank you to everyone who came out and braved the obstacle course (108 people actually).
The bread and butter of fitness and athletic strength and conditioning are the basic movements-the quick lifts, the slow lifts, running, jumping, calisthenics, etc, but every once in a while it is a blast to put it all together with something like an obstacle course. Not only is it fun and a great workout (no one managed more than three runs through it), but it really showcases how smart training transfers to the ordinary (picking up a sandbag) and the not-so-ordinary (jumping a 5 foot wall, scaling a 9 foot wall). And did I mention the fun part?
Great work everyone. I took a bunch of video and I will post it as soon as I (read: the wonderful and talented Emily) can get all the footage uploaded and edited.
