Most of our daily movement isn’t the most complex. Driving a car is the most complex movement we do throughout the day. Granted, that is a very complex movement, but most of us have been doing it for so long that we don’t even think about it anymore. In fact, it took years of driving to get to the point where we can do while talking on the phone, or eating an apple, or listening to the radio. All without even thinking about it.

So, why do people get so frustrated when they can’t perform a clean or other technique soon after learning it? Think about it, the most complicated movement most people do on a regular basis took years to master, but we think we should be able to master another complicated movement in a matter of a few practice sessions.

Patience and perseverance are key components to CrossFit. As I like to say, CrossFit never gets easier, just faster. And that is one of the real attractions of CrossFit. There is always another step, another level to reach.

Faster harder heavier. More intense.
