The PRs (personal records) have been flying fast and furious this week at CF West. It must be something in the water. This is what it is all about, folks. Competition and record boards and all that are fine and dandy, but beating your old time is what really matters. At CrossFit, we don’t test vo2 max or other fitness markers, we just hit the benchmark WODs and movements every so often and that tells us all we need to know about our fitness levels. The stopwatch is brutally honest, way more so than a battery of test results that can be interpreted in various ways.
Vero, Golden, Cliff, John G, Summer, Steve, Judy, Jocelyn, Heidi, Kyle, Danny, Ashley, Derek, Samantha, Susan, Aurora, Andy, Matt, Drew, John VE, Sue have all been kicking ass and taking names. I am sure that I left out a couple of people who have gotten PRs this week, but congratulations to all. As we like to say: CrossFit never gets easier, it just gets faster. Great work everyone.
The CFWSC 1 year anniversary party is this Friday. Group workout at 4PM, and the party is at 6 at the Parish in the Almar shopping center next to Safeway on the westside. See you all there.
In other news, I just ate an It’s It for the first time in I don’t know how long, and it was good, really good. I don’t know what came over me, but I had a sudden craving and I gave in like a cheap….well, let’s just say that I folded and munched it. Hmmm, this is kind of like confessional.
