The Toughest Piece of Equipment

That’s right, the toughest piece of equipment in the gym is the stopwatch. CrossFit adds a time component to fitness that completely changes the game. Other sports and training protocols–swimming, boxing, wrestling, to name a couple–use the stopwatch, but the importance CrossFit places upon it is fairly unique. The stopwatch builds intensity. The stopwatch forces intensity.

How did you feel when you first started CrossFit and learned that nearly everything is done for time?
