Thirst

"CrossFit Shaolin": Cliff leads another large class of very focused and attentive athletes at CrossFit West through fundamental Front-Squat mechanics during warm-ups before they went for hitting a new 1-RM. No matter what the strength element, there's just something kinda cool about seeing a large group of athletes collectively working mechanics in unison as they all thirst for knowledge, ...like a group of CrossFit Shaolin Monks.

NOTE: THANKSGIVING DAY SCHEDULE;

Thanksgiving mornings at CrossFit West are ALWAYS really fun classes!  I know we all want/have to spend time with family and have hectic schedules on Thanksgiving day with cooking, etc, but if you can make the time, I highly recommend you make it in to class on Thanksgiving morning and/or the morning after!  These classes are always so much fun!  Our Holliday hours are as follows….

Thursday (thanksgiving day) – 9am and 10am classes only.  Friday – 9am, 10am, Noon classes only.

Like legendary Alabama FootBall Coach, Paul "Bear" Bryant, sometimes as coaches we need to explore implementing new, more extreme, measures for certain athletes. "Oh, you want water, do you? Sure, you can have water. THERE is your water! Go get it!" ...Either that, or the young guns were just having some fun. ..."One must first attain the water they seek before they can revel in its quenching"--Ancient CrossFit Shaolin Proverb or something

“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
