When you come to something as intense as a CrossFit class for the first time, it can be pretty nerve-racking. You are nervous, a little scared, excited, and intimidated all at once.  Especially if there are a couple people flat on their backs on the floor, sweat niagaring off of them and faint moaning noises emanating from their whole beings.  Let’s just say that, for a lot of people, joining a CrossFit class isn’t the easiest thing to do.

So, if you see a newcomer in class, please walk up and introduce yourself.  Shake their hand.  Pat them on the shoulder and tell them how much they are going to love it. After the WOD is finished, ask them how they feel.  How did they like it.  Tell them that you know it is hard, but nothing gives results like CrossFit.  And they did great for their first time.  Offer a couple words of encouragement.

CF West is a great place to train.  And it is all of you that make it that way.
