Women and Double Unders

This is one of those posts that just might make the guys regret that they ever gave me the login for this blog!

Some of us women were chatting recently about the occasional discomfort of double unders for the women at the gym.  Just in case you are new and fear that you are the only one who has trouble NOT peeing while jumping rope every now and then (or even every time), I want you to know that you are not alone.  It is in fact a very common situation for us women-young, older, mothers or not.  We’ve been there.  We know your discomfort.

And you might even have this problem at other times in CrossFit as well.  Women have been known to be in an uncomfortable spot when doing heavy cleans or many reps of a heavy front squat.

The good news is that one of the central lifts here at CFW will lessen this problem over time.  Squats cure just about everything, even incontinence. Developing your glutes and working on that squat will have many real-life benefits.  So keep up the good work, ladies and squat, squat, squat!

So it is clearly a male that programs double-unders in a wod when we have only one functioning bathroom, right?
